The first step is to become aware of how you are feeling right now.
Am I in a state of stress?
Seeing it, you naturally make peace with what is happening to you and the natural result is acceptance.
90% of the problem is resistance since it does not solve the problem, rather it reinforces it and unconsciously we try to free ourselves from it by projecting it out into the situation or to other people.
Becoming aware requires deep attention to your inner world. It happens very quickly.
Acceptance begins the process of experiencing it.
It feels very uncomfortable, like removing a thorn that has become attached to the skin.
One feels the fire of that emotion burning in a specific part of the body as the psychological story of that emotional charge is shown. If you are able to hold it • like a chicken brooding an egg • with patience and staying in that discomfort, then the charge is consumed, released and that same situation or emotion of stress becomes joy.

The art of inner alchemy is the secret to keeping you in heightened states of consciousness, even in the face of the greatest challenges that life can present. It might require some practice, like any other art form. Once you get a hang of it, you will be able to face any challenge with spiritual strenght and psychological balance.
